The daylight blinds made by durlum are both sun protection and daylight guidance and air conditioning. The incoming
light is directed from the window over the room ceiling into the room. This reduces glare, and the room is lighted
evenly. This effect is increased even more if the system is combined with a refl ective ceiling. The use of daylight reduces
the use of artifi cial light and consequently the energy costs.
A special coating of the blades optimizes the total energy transmittance. The resulting reduced load on the room airconditioning
gives an additional saving in energy.
The guidance of the light is regulated by adjusting the slat angle. To control this as fl exible as possible, the blind is
divided into two parts; each part can be controlled individually. For offi ces with PCs, for example, the lower part can
be closed to avoid glare, while the light is guided into the room through the upper part.
The ellipsoid holes in the slats of the lower part give the blinds a transparent character. Even if it is closed, the visual
contact to the environment is maintained.
