durlum achieves ISO 14001:2004 certification

Sustainable management ensures the future of our planet and the competitiveness of a company. This conviction gives direction to the environmental policy of durlum. In 2010 durlum has successfully participated in the ECOfit program of the state Baden-Wuerttemberg, which aims at showing companies how to optimize their environmental management. A further improvement of the environmental management system was achieved this year with the internationally valid and accredited certification according to ISO 14001:2004 by TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH.

The certification emphasizes the fact that durlum strives to make its manufacturing processes and products more sustainable. It uses recyclable materials, is environmentally friendly with energy, continuously reduces its waste materials and uses these materials whenever it is possible. To minimize the environmental stress in the entire production process, durlum works with suppliers that fulfill their responsibility towards the environment.

In addition to the resource-saving production durlum develops products that directly protect the environment. durlum’s daylight systems are just one example. They minimize the use of artificial light, make best use of natural light and create spaces where you feel comfortable.
